Tajikistan

Tajikistan is a mountainous country in Central Asia, known for its rugged terrain and the Pamukkhar Pamir region. It is home to the Pamir Alps, often called the "Roof of the World."

The country has a predominantly Islamic population and a rich cultural heritage. Tajikistan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
